Mental illness such as depression, anxiety, behaviors associated with Alzheimer’s, and related dementia can be particularly hard on the elderly, who may also be dealing with the effects of social isolation, impaired physical abilities and chronic pain. In-home mental health services are a viable option, especially for those reluctant to enter treatment centers.

Mental-healthMarywood Home Health offers a team of experts, ready to help with issues including depression, anxiety, behaviors associated with Alzheimer’s and dementia. We provide in-home assistance from a multi-disciplinary team of social workers, occupational therapists, home health aides and registered nurses with psychiatric expertise. In conjunction with your personal physician, we develop and implement an individualized care plan to offer relief from mental illness.

Our mental health offering provides patients, as well as spouses and their families with coping strategies during times of illness.

As a ministry of the Dominican Sisters ~ Grand Rapids, Marywood Home Health also offers spiritual support grounded in the Catholic tradition and welcoming of all faiths. We’re available to provide companionship to help ease the loneliness and sense of isolation that can often accompany aging.
