About Marywood Circle

A Place of Rest, Healing, and Rich Spiritual Life

God’s loving spirit has always guided the Dominican Sisters~Grand Rapids to new places and invited us into new ministries. Marywood Health Center is one example of what happens when our Sisters listen for the needs of God’s people in our midst.

Since we opened the doors of Marywood Health Center in 2013, it has been a place of rest and healing for women and men in West Michigan. Individuals who have recuperated at this rehabilitation facility give glowing reviews about everything from our spacious private rooms and baths to the attention of our caring staff.

We have a Five-Star CMS Quality Rating and are a preferred provider to Spectrum Health, Mercy Health St. Mary’s, Metro Health U of M, and more.

Ministries of Healing and Caring

The Dominican Sisters have devoted over 100 years to people-centered ministries that include educating, counseling, and caring for people of all ages in the Michigan and beyond.

The mission of the Dominican Sisters ~ Grand Rapids is that of Jesus Christ – to be God’s saving grace in the world. This has been our endeavor since our beginning in 1877 as teachers and caregivers to children. Since then we have continued to teach and to care for people through partnerships and work in hospital ministries, social service agencies and hospice care.
